EvoTree Consulting is a Melbourne-based education consultancy with over 20 years of experience building international education partnerships. Led by CEO Gary Li, they work with Australian schools and universities to develop and deliver education programs across global markets, from K-12 to higher education, and have supported more than 10,000 students through their programs to date.

The Situation

A global education consultancy with 20 years of partnerships to show for it, ready for a website that matched the scale of the work.

EvoTree Education is a Melbourne-based international education consultancy founded by Gary Li. Since 2000, EvoTree has supported institutional partnerships across 15 or more cities, helped over 10,000 students access international education programs, and developed its own proprietary consulting framework in the People to People Model. The business spans four service lines across VCE offshore programs, transnational higher education, cultural development, and advisory consulting, each serving different institutional audiences.

The challenge was communicating two decades of complex, relationship-driven work in a sector where most consulting websites default to generic, institutional copy. Schools, universities, and government bodies considering international education partnerships needed to see both the scale and the personal commitment behind the business.

An education consultancy whose entire model is built on human connection needed a website that made that visible.

What We Found

The business had the credentials, the model, and the track record. The website needed to make all three legible immediately.

EvoTree's offering is genuinely complex. Four distinct service lines, each with its own audience and operational framework. A proprietary consulting model underpinning all of it. A founder whose personal philosophy is inseparable from the business. And a 20-year track record that potentially could get lost behind generic education sector language.

The central design challenge was hierarchy: what does a school principal, a university international office director, or a government education authority need to see first to understand what EvoTree does and why it matters? The answer shaped every structural and visual decision.

Key Insight

For a business where the founder's vision and the consulting model are the product, the website needed to lead with both. Gary Li and the P2P Model are not supporting content but they are the case for EvoTree.

Dark and aspirational where the category defaults to light and institutional. Personal where it could have been corporate.

  • 01     Set EvoTree apart from the category immediately

Most international education websites look broadly the same: light backgrounds, stock photography of diverse students, institutional language. The visual direction for EvoTree went the other way. A near-black background with space and globe imagery communicates global reach and future focus in a single glance, while the green brand accent adds energy without sacrificing professionalism. The homepage leads with the three numbers that establish credibility before anything else: 20+ years experience, 15+ cities, 10,000+ students.

  • 02    Make Gary Li and the P2P Model the centrepiece

EvoTree's competitive advantage is not a service list. It is 20 years of institutional relationships guided by a proprietary consulting framework. Gary Li's photo and founder quote appear on the homepage, making the person behind the model visible to institutional visitors who are evaluating a long-term partnership, not a one-off transaction. The P2P Model gets its own interactive section with an accordion showing all six pillars in detail. Making a methodology navigable rather than static transforms it from a credential into a demonstration of how EvoTree actually thinks.

  • 03    Organise a complex offering for multiple audiences

EvoTree's four service lines serve genuinely different institutional audiences. VCE Offshore is relevant to Victorian schools considering offshore delivery. Transnational Education speaks to higher education providers. Cultural Development and Advisory and Consulting address different layers of the same international education ecosystem. Each service is given its own card with a clear descriptor and link, allowing a school principal and a university international director to each find their relevant entry point without having to navigate through content meant for the other.

The website gives EvoTree a platform proportionate to the reputation behind it. International education is a credentialled, relationship-driven sector where institutional buyers conduct careful due diligence. A site that leads with scale, makes the founder's philosophy visible, and explains the proprietary model in clear terms is one that earns consideration rather than requesting it.
