Strong site, two friction points worth fixing

Cascade presents a clear category ("Strategy-Led Performance Platform"), backs it with an unusually strong wall of enterprise logos and named proof, and offers two well-designed conversion paths: a three-field demo form and a single-email free signup. It reads as a mature, credible enterprise SaaS site.

Two things repeatedly tax the buyer. On mobile, a full-screen interstitial ("Experience Cascade in 5 Minutes") covers the hero and its CTAs on load, so every mobile visitor must dismiss a popup before acting. And the pricing page shows no numbers at all, which stalls comparison shoppers trying to self-qualify. Fixing those two would move an already-Strong site toward Exceptional.

What this site is

What they do
Cascade is a strategy execution / strategy-led performance SaaS platform that combines AI, data and human insight so leaders and teams can plan, align, track metrics and report on strategy in one system.
Who it is for
Enterprise and mid-market leaders responsible for strategy: executives, strategy planners, transformation managers, operations leaders and portfolio managers.
Sectors
Manufacturing, banking & financial services, healthcare & biotech, higher education, telecommunications, consumer goods and non-profits (per the customer logos shown).
What they sell
A subscription strategy execution platform — Planner, alignment, metrics & measures, dashboards & reports, integrations, and Tapestry AI — sold as a free tier, an Essentials tier and an Enterprise tier.
Conversion event
Book a demo (enterprise) and self-serve Get started — Free signup
Proof on hand
Enterprise logo wall (Caterpillar, US Bank, PepsiCo, Roche, Telefónica, Mitsubishi Power, Ricoh, Blundstone and more), a 4.8-star Capterra rating, named customer testimonials, headline outcome stats and a large case-study library.
Buyer facts found
What the product is, who it is for, use cases, plan tiers and their feature limits, integrations, security/enterprise claims, demo length (30 minutes) and a live-chat contact channel.
Buyer facts missing
Any actual price — every plan shows Contact Us or Platform Pricing rather than a number — and the source/methodology behind the headline outcome stats.
Machine readability
Marketing pages are server-rendered and fully readable without JavaScript, but there is no JSON-LD structured data, no llms.txt, and no extractable pricing; robots.txt does not block AI crawlers.

The fundamentals are in place — clear positioning, deep proof, and low-friction demo and signup flows. The fastest wins are removing (or delaying) the mobile interstitial so the hero CTAs are the first thing a mobile visitor sees, and giving the pricing page at least indicative numbers or a clear "starts from" anchor. Adding basic structured data and an llms.txt would also help the site show up well in AI answer engines.

Never heard of Cascade; arrived from a search for strategy execution tools

Awareness

Mixed

Arrived

From an organic search, trying to work out what Cascade is and whether it fits a strategy-owner's remit.

Wants

A fast, plain answer to 'what is this, who is it for, and is it in my budget?'

Judges on

Clarity of the category, credibility signals, and whether cost is knowable without a sales call.

  • Lands on the hero and reads "Strategy-Led Performance Platform" / "AI-Driven Strategy. Better Decisions." — category is clear enough to keep reading.
  • Scrolls to the logo wall and "4.8 stars" — reassured that large organisations trust it.
  • Scans the "Cascade works the way you work" use-case grid and recognises her own remit (Corporate Strategy, OKRs).
  • Clicks a use case's "Learn more" and lands on a concrete solution page.
  • Hits playful copy like "Command the chaos" and "into the lime light" — mildly gimmicky for a board tool.
  • Goes to Pricing to gauge fit and finds no numbers, only "Contact Us".
  • Leaves intrigued but unable to self-qualify on cost — a demo is the only way forward.

Evaluation

Mixed

Arrived

Mid-evaluation, weighing Cascade against other OKR/strategy tools on price and features.

Wants

To compare tiers, features and cost side by side without contacting sales.

Judges on

Transparency of pricing, clarity of tier differences, and depth of proof.

  • Notices the "Replace Viva Goals" link and feels directly targeted at her switch.
  • Opens the migrate-from-Viva-Goals page to see the case for switching.
  • Goes to Pricing to compare cost and finds three tiers — all showing "Contact Us" / "Platform Pricing".
  • Reads the tier feature lists (OKRs, up to 50 metrics, unlimited reports) — the tiering is at least legible.
  • Digs into the case-study library for evidence and finds plenty.
  • Opens the pricing FAQ hunting for a number and learns a CSM is Enterprise-only.
  • Leaves with a clear feature picture but no way to compare price without a sales conversation.

Wants

Clean, structured, extractable facts about the product, pricing and contact channels.

Judges on

Server-rendered content, structured data, extractable buyer facts, and crawl policy.

  • Fetches the homepage HTML and finds it fully server-rendered and readable without JavaScript.
  • Extracts the product definition and use cases directly from the page copy.
  • Looks for an llms.txt guide and gets a 404 — none published.
  • Checks for JSON-LD / schema.org markup and finds none on the homepage.

How each score was reached

Nav Detail binds here.

Navigation & findability — 7.5

The primary navigation is clear and role-aware, with a logical grouping of product, solutions and resources, and money-path links (Pricing, Book a demo) always reachable. The footer is deep and well-organised, and every use case is one click from the homepage.

  • "Platform · Use Cases · Tapestry AI · Resources · Partners · Pricing" — a clean, category-led top nav.
  • "Cascade works the way you work" — the homepage use-case grid links straight to solution pages (Corporate Strategy, OKRs, Transformation, and more).

Message clarity (ICP fit) — 7.8

The value proposition is stated plainly and the ICP — leaders who own strategy — is obvious within the first screen. The one drag on clarity is occasional playful metaphor that can read as gimmicky to a board-level buyer.

  • "Strategy-Led Performance Platform" / "AI-Driven Strategy. Better Decisions." — an unambiguous category and promise.
  • "Cascade brings AI, data, and human insight together to help leaders make faster, smarter decisions that drive performance." — a clear, buyer-facing subhead.
  • "Command the chaos from one single platform" — energetic, but metaphor-led copy like this dilutes precision for enterprise readers.

Trust & credibility — 8.3

Trust is the site's strongest asset: a wall of recognised global brands, a visible third-party rating, and named testimonials with real titles. The only caveat is that the headline outcome stats carry no visible source.

  • "THOUSANDS OF GLOBAL ORGANIZATIONS DEPEND ON CASCADE" — supported by logos for Caterpillar, US Bank, PepsiCo, Roche and Telefónica, plus a "4.8 stars" rating.
  • "The AI-powered executive summaries and instant reporting in Cascade give us a clear health check of the business without the manual effort." — Nadim El Chakhtoura, Chief of Strategy (a named, titled testimonial).

Proof depth — 7.5

Beyond logos, the site offers a large library of customer stories, integration proof and quantified outcomes, giving evaluators plenty to dig into. Depth would be even stronger if the headline numbers were attributed.

  • "$20 Mn Average reduced spend on misaligned projects & resources" — a concrete outcome stat (though no source is shown).
  • "Automatically connect your strategy silos" — integrations proof (e.g. Salesforce) shows how Cascade fits an existing stack.

Conversion path — 7.0

Both conversion routes are well-built: the demo landing page strips the nav and asks for only three fields, and the free signup opens with a single email field before a short staged wizard. Two things add friction — a mobile interstitial that covers the hero CTAs on load, and a pricing page with no numbers.

  • "During your 30-minute demo, we'll tailor your unique use case" — the demo form asks only for work email, name and company, which is refreshingly short.
  • "Experience Cascade in 5 Minutes" / "Take the Interactive Tour" — on mobile this fires as a full-screen interstitial over the hero, so the "Book a demo" and "Get started — Free" buttons are hidden until it is dismissed.
  • "Platform Pricing" / "Contact Us" — the pricing page shows no figures on any tier, forcing self-serve buyers to contact sales just to gauge fit.

AI readability — 6.7

Machine-readability arithmetic:

  • Readable without JavaScript: 3/3 — marketing pages are server-rendered and fully extractable.
  • Buyer facts extractable: 2/3 — product, use cases and plan tiers are in the HTML, but no prices are.
  • Structured data present: 0/2 — no JSON-LD / schema.org markup on the homepage.
  • Non-form contact channel: 1/1 — a live-chat widget and Contact Us page are available.
  • Raw subtotal: 6/9, scaled to 6.7/10.
  • Crawl-policy deduction: 0 — robots.txt does not block answer engines and there is no llms.txt restricting them.

Net AI readability score: 6.7.

Serious

Conversion path

Stop the mobile interstitial from covering the hero CTAs

On a phone, a full-screen popup fires on load and covers the hero, so the "Book a demo" and "Get started — Free" buttons are hidden until the visitor finds and taps the close button. This adds a dismiss step to the very first action for every mobile visitor — the majority on many B2B sites — and violates the usability principle of keeping the primary path unobstructed (Nielsen Norman #3, user control & freedom, and #8, aesthetic & minimalist design).

Experience Cascade in 5 Minutes — Take the Interactive Tour

View the page

What to do

  • Suppress the interstitial on the first mobile view of the homepage so the hero and its CTAs load unobstructed.
  • If the tour offer stays, delay it (e.g. on scroll or exit intent) rather than firing it on load.
  • Convert it on mobile to a dismissible inline banner or a bottom sheet that does not cover the primary CTAs.
  • Make the close control larger and easier to hit on small screens.
  • Re-test the mobile hero at 375px to confirm both CTAs are visible without any dismiss step.

Worth fixing

Conversion path

Show at least indicative pricing on the pricing page

Every tier on the pricing page shows "Contact Us" or "Platform Pricing" with no figures. Comparison shoppers can't self-qualify or build a business case without a sales call, so a portion drop out before ever contacting you. Even a "starts from" anchor or a typical range would keep more evaluators in the funnel.

Essentials — Platform Pricing — Contact Us

View the page

What to do

  • Add a "starts from" price or an indicative range to the Essentials tier.
  • If exact numbers must stay bespoke, give per-tier guidance (e.g. "typical deployments from $X/user/month").
  • State clearly what drives Enterprise pricing (users, modules, data residency) so buyers can estimate.
  • Keep the free tier's "Start Now" prominent as the no-friction entry point.
  • Add a short line setting expectations on what a pricing conversation involves.

Worth fixing

Trust & credibility

Attribute the headline outcome statistics

The homepage leads with strong quantified claims but shows no source or methodology for them. Sophisticated buyers discount unattributed numbers, and an uncited stat can undercut the very credibility it's meant to build. A short source note turns a claim into evidence.

$20 Mn Average reduced spend on misaligned projects & resources

View the page

What to do

  • Add a source or basis for each headline stat (e.g. customer survey, internal study, sample size and period).
  • Link each stat to the case study or research that supports it where possible.
  • Where a number is an average, note what population it is averaged across.
  • Keep the wording as-is but add a small "source" footnote beneath the stat band.

Worth fixing

Machine readability

Add structured data and an llms.txt for AI answer engines

The marketing pages are server-rendered and readable, but the homepage carries no JSON-LD / schema.org markup and there is no llms.txt. As buyers increasingly ask AI assistants to shortlist tools, missing structured data and an LLM guide make it harder for Cascade to be summarised accurately and recommended.

no JSON-LD structured data blocks (script type="application/ld+json") are present

View the page

What to do

  • Add Organization and SoftwareApplication (or Product) JSON-LD to the homepage.
  • Add FAQPage schema to the pricing FAQ and BreadcrumbList to key templates.
  • Publish an llms.txt summarising what Cascade is, who it's for, and links to key pages.
  • Ensure core buyer facts (what it does, who it's for, how to contact) remain in the server-rendered HTML.
  • Validate the markup with a structured-data testing tool after publishing.

Worth checking

Message clarity

Tighten playful metaphors that dilute the enterprise message

Some section copy leans on playful metaphor that can read as gimmicky to a board-level buyer evaluating an enterprise platform. It's a matter of tone rather than a defect, so it's worth a light review to make sure energy doesn't come at the cost of precision.

Command the chaos from one single platform

View the page

What to do

  • Review metaphor-led headings (e.g. "Command the chaos", "into the lime light") for an executive audience.
  • Where a metaphor replaces a concrete benefit, add the plain outcome alongside it.
  • A/B test a more literal variant of one or two hero-adjacent sections.
  • Keep the brand personality, but ensure each section still states what the buyer gets.

Keep doing

Conversion path

Keep the low-friction demo and free-signup flows

Both conversion routes are exemplary: the demo landing page strips the nav and asks for only three fields, and the free signup opens with a single email field before a short staged wizard. This is exactly the kind of low-friction, expectation-setting flow that lifts conversion — keep it.

During your 30-minute demo, we’ll tailor your unique use case

View the page

What to do

  • Preserve the three-field demo form and resist adding fields.
  • Keep the single-email start on the free signup with progressive disclosure afterwards.
  • Maintain the stripped-back nav on the demo landing page.
  • Keep setting clear expectations ("30-minute demo") up front.

Keep doing

Trust & credibility

Keep the enterprise logo wall and named testimonials

The combination of recognised global brand logos, a visible third-party rating and named, titled testimonials is a genuine strength that builds fast trust with cold visitors. It's a big part of why the site reads as a credible enterprise choice — keep investing here.

THOUSANDS OF GLOBAL ORGANIZATIONS DEPEND ON CASCADE

View the page

What to do

  • Keep the recognisable logo wall prominent near the top of the homepage.
  • Continue using named testimonials with real roles rather than anonymous quotes.
  • Refresh logos and quotes periodically to keep them current.
  • Consider adding one or two logos relevant to each key industry landing page.

Methodology and limitations

How this review was run

This is a UX and content review of Cascade's key conversion pages, read the way four different visitors would experience them: a cold visitor, a buyer ready to act, a comparison shopper, and an AI agent extracting facts.

We reviewed the copy, structure and links of the homepage, the pricing page, the Book a demo landing page and the free Get started signup flow, and checked the site's robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt. We then walked the primary conversion paths (booking a demo and starting a free account) in a live browser at both desktop (1440×900) and mobile (375×812) widths, scoring the experience against established usability heuristics and recording friction such as clicks to goal, form length and on-load interruptions. A separate score rates how readable the site is to AI answer engines.

One honest caveat: this is a UX and content review, not a page-speed or accessibility audit. For load-performance data, run the pages through Google PageSpeed Insights.
