attekus.com

A clear, well-proven enterprise story that funnels every visitor into a Contact page with no working way to make contact.

Attekus sells one connected enterprise platform for venue booking, events, ticketing, customer and payments to councils, government, education, associations and commercial venues across Australia and New Zealand. The story is clear and well-proven: a strong ICP, named council logos and case studies, indicative pricing, a documented implementation path and solid security credentials.

The site is also highly readable to AI - fully server-rendered, with a populated llms.txt and Organization structured data. The single serious weakness is conversion. Every button across the site funnels to the Contact page, which offers no working way to get in touch: no enquiry form, no email, no phone, and primary buttons that link to a dead anchor. That one gap holds an otherwise strong site back.

What this site is

What they do
Enterprise SaaS for venue booking, event management, ticketing, customer engagement and payments, sold to councils, government, education, associations and commercial venues across Australia and New Zealand.
Who it is for
Booking officers, venue and event managers, customer service leaders, IT and digital transformation teams, and executives inside councils, government agencies, education providers, associations and commercial venues in ANZ.
Sectors
Local government, state and federal government, education, associations, commercial venues
What they sell
One connected enterprise SaaS platform (Bookings, Customer, Events, Ticketing, Appointments, Payments, Intelligence, Platform Services) on a single annual licence.
Conversion event
Book a no-obligation Discovery Consultation via the Contact page
Proof on hand
18+ named council and venue logos, council case studies (Broken Hill, Hornsby, City of Logan), a 77% admin-reduction figure, named ERP integrations, ISO 27001 / PCI DSS / Essential Eight references, indicative pricing model.
Buyer facts found
Who it is for, what it does, the SaaS pricing model and sizing metrics, integration list, product line-up, implementation timeline (20-24 weeks), security accreditations.
Buyer facts missing
Any direct contact detail - no email address, no phone number, and no working enquiry form anywhere on the Contact page; exact pricing figures (by design, indicative only).
Machine readability
Fully server-rendered HTML, a populated /llms.txt, Organization JSON-LD, and an open robots.txt - but no machine-reachable contact channel (no email/phone/form).

Attekus has done the hard part well. The proposition is sharp, the ICP is unmistakable, the proof is enterprise-grade, and the site is unusually machine-readable. The problem is the last step: every call to action on the site points to /contact/, and that page has no form, no email address and no phone number - its two Start discovery buttons link to # and do nothing when clicked. A convinced buyer arrives ready to talk and finds no way to. Fixing the Contact page alone would move the whole site from solid to strong.

The four visitors

Cold visitor

Priya, council booking-services coordinator

Booking & customer-service coordinator at a regional council, scoping options informally

Awareness

Good

Arrived

Landed on the homepage from a peer recommendation, not sure yet whether this is really built for councils.

Wants

To quickly confirm this is public-sector software and understand what it actually replaces.

Judges on

Whether the hero speaks to her world and whether she recognises organisations like hers.

  • Reads the hero and immediately sees software "for councils, government, education, associations and commercial venues across Australia and New Zealand" - she's in the right place.
  • Scrolls into a wall of named council logos and relaxes; these are peers.
  • Grasps the core idea - one connected system replacing separate booking, ticketing and finance tools.
  • Sees the four solution themes (facility booking, participation, integrations, events) and maps them to her pain.
  • Notices the FAQ answering "Is Attekus the same as Bookable?" - resolves a name she'd half-heard.
  • Leaves with a clear, positive picture and a sense this is worth a closer look.

Ready to act

Daniel, venue services manager

Decision-influencer who has seen a demo elsewhere and wants to start a conversation now

Task execution

Partly blocked

Arrived

Already sold on the idea; came back specifically to book a Discovery Consultation.

Wants

To contact the Attekus team - book a call, send an enquiry, or find a phone number.

Judges on

How fast and how painlessly he can reach a human.

  • Clicks "Talk to us" in the header - lands on /contact/.
  • Sees a warm headline and team photo and looks for the form or a phone number.
  • Finds only two buttons: "Start discovery" and "Start your discovery today".
  • Clicks "Start discovery" - nothing happens; the button links to a dead anchor.
  • Scrolls the whole page: no form, no email address, no phone number anywhere.
  • Tries "Start your discovery today" as well - same dead result. He is fully convinced and completely stuck.

Comparison shopper

Meredith, procurement & digital transformation lead

Evaluator building a shortlist and a business case against other vendors

Evaluation

Mixed

Arrived

Comparing Attekus against generic booking tools and one other public-sector vendor.

Wants

Pricing model, integration depth, security posture, and procurement support she can defend in a paper.

Judges on

Specifics she can cite - numbers, standards, named integrations, and internal consistency.

  • Goes straight to Solutions & Pricing and is pleased to find a transparent SaaS model with sector-based sizing.
  • Notes the "up to 77%" admin-reduction figure and the "no per-booking commission" promise for her business case.
  • Checks integrations - TechnologyOne, Civica, Oracle, SAP and more - and the ISO 27001 / PCI DSS / Essential Eight references.
  • Finds the "Procurement Made Simpler" resource - a strong signal this vendor understands tenders.
  • Spots an inconsistency: "more than 130 councils" in the body but "more than 120 councils" in the same page's FAQ; makes a note to verify.
  • Wants an indicative pricing range for her budget paper and heads to Contact - and hits the same dead end Daniel did.

AI agent

An AI research assistant

LLM agent asked to summarise Attekus and find how to contact them

Consideration

Mixed

Arrived

Dispatched to describe what Attekus does, who it serves, and how a buyer gets in touch.

Wants

Clean server-rendered facts, structured data, and a machine-reachable contact channel.

Judges on

Whether pages render without JavaScript, whether facts are extractable, and whether a contact endpoint exists.

  • Fetches the homepage and gets full server-rendered HTML - no JavaScript needed to read the proposition.
  • Finds /llms.txt already published with labelled links to key pages - an easy, high-quality map of the site.
  • Reads Organization JSON-LD and extracts the pricing model, product list, integrations and implementation timeline cleanly.
  • Confirms robots.txt allows all agents - nothing blocks it.
  • Tries to extract a contact method and finds none: no email, no phone, no form endpoint on /contact/.
  • Can describe Attekus accurately but has to report that there is no machine-reachable way to contact them.

How each score was reached

Nav Detail binds here.

Navigation & findability - 7.0

Primary navigation is logical and buyer-shaped: a By Industry menu (Education, Local Government, Government, Commercial Venues, Associations) sits alongside a product menu covering the eight Attekus products, with Talk to us and a Support Portal link always visible. A buyer can self-select their sector and reach a tailored page in one hop.

  • The industry switcher is explicit and complete: "Education, Local Government, Government, Commercial Venues, Associations".
  • Product navigation names each product clearly, e.g. "Attekus Bookings", "Attekus Events", "Attekus Ticketing", "Attekus Payments".

It loses points because the money path terminates poorly: navigation leads confidently to a Contact page that cannot be acted on, and the rendered DOM carries duplicated nav and two search popups that add weight without adding findability.

Message clarity (ICP fit) - 8.0

The positioning is immediate and specific. The hero states the market and the promise together, and the body copy repeatedly names exactly who it serves, so the right buyer recognises themselves within seconds.

  • "Attekus is venue booking, event, ticketing, and customer management software for councils, government, education, associations and commercial venues across Australia and New Zealand."
  • "One connected experience for venue booking, events, ticketing, customer and payments" anchors the core differentiator - replacing separate tools with one system tied to a central customer record.

Held just below the top band only because the sheer number of products and sub-messages can crowd the primary takeaway on the homepage.

Trust & credibility - 6.5

There is real proof on hand: a wall of named council and venue logos, sector case studies, security accreditations and specific integration partners all build credibility for a risk-averse public-sector buyer.

  • Named security posture: "ISO 27001:2022, PCI DSS 4.0 and ASD Essential Eight alignment".
  • Concrete customer proof: "Attekus supports more than 130 councils across ANZ".

Two things pull the score down. First, an internal inconsistency: the Local Government page says "more than 130 councils" in the body but "More than 120 councils" in its own FAQ - a careful procurement reader will notice. Second, for a public-sector vendor there is no visible contact detail at all (no email, phone or address), which quietly undercuts trust at the exact moment a buyer wants reassurance a real team is behind it.

Proof depth - 7.5

Proof goes beyond logos into the specifics buyers evaluate on: quantified outcomes, a transparent pricing model, named integrations and a defined delivery path.

  • Quantified outcome: the platform is said to "reduce manual administration by up to 77%".
  • Transparent commercial model: "One annual SaaS fee" with "Unlimited bookings (no per-booking commission or transaction fees...)", plus sector-based sizing metrics.

Case studies are named (Broken Hill, Hornsby, City of Logan) and a dedicated Procurement Made Simpler resource speaks directly to tender processes. It stops short of the top band because outcome evidence leans on a single headline percentage and the case-study detail lives mostly off the main path.

Conversion path - 3.0

This is the site's defining weakness, and it is confirmed, not inferred. Every primary call to action across the homepage, pricing and industry pages - Talk to us, Connect with our team, Start your discovery today, Book here - points to /contact/. That destination has no enquiry form, no email address and no phone number.

  • On the Contact page the only two calls to action, "Start discovery" and "Start your discovery today", both link to #; clicking produced no navigation and no popup (the only forms present are the site-search boxes).
  • Because all paths converge here, a fully convinced buyer - the Ready to act visitor - is left with nowhere to go (violates Nielsen heuristic #1, visibility of system status, and #3, user control: the system accepts the click but nothing happens).

Task completion for the core goal (make contact) is effectively zero on the primary path, which is why this scores so far below the rest of the site.

AI readability - 8.9

Attekus is unusually well set up for answer engines and AI agents.

  • Readable without JavaScript (3/3): all key pages return full server-rendered HTML - headline, product copy, pricing model and FAQs are present in the raw markup.
  • Buyer facts extractable (3/3): pricing model, sizing metrics, integration list, product line-up and implementation timeline are all in plain text.
  • Structured data present (2/2): Organization JSON-LD is embedded on the homepage.
  • Non-form contact channel (0/1): there is no machine-reachable email, phone or contact endpoint anywhere.

Raw subtotal 8/9, scaled to 8.9/10. Crawl policy: robots.txt allows all agents and a populated /llms.txt is published, so no deduction. The one gap an AI agent hits is the same one humans hit - it can describe Attekus perfectly but cannot find a way to contact them.

Report findings

Ranked by likely impact. Each finding quotes the page it came from.

Critical

Conversion path

Give the Contact page a working way to make contact

Every call to action across the site funnels to /contact/, but that page has no enquiry form, no email address and no phone number - and its two buttons link to a dead anchor. A fully convinced buyer arrives with intent and has no way to act on it, so the single most valuable moment in the journey converts at effectively zero.

Start discovery

View the page

What to do

  • Add a working enquiry form to /contact/ capturing name, organisation, sector, role and message, wired to a monitored inbox.
  • Point the "Start discovery" and "Start your discovery today" buttons at that form (or a booking tool) instead of "#".
  • Show a clear confirmation state after submission so the visitor knows it worked (addresses Nielsen heuristic #1, visibility of system status).
  • Add a visible email address and phone number as fallback contact methods.
  • Test the completed path end to end on desktop and mobile before publishing.

Serious

Trust & credibility

Add direct contact details for a public-sector buyer

Government and council buyers expect to see who they are dealing with and how to reach them. With no email, phone or postal address anywhere on the site, an otherwise credible enterprise vendor looks harder to verify and slower to engage than competitors who publish this openly.

Get in touch

View the page

What to do

  • Publish a general enquiry email and a phone number in the site footer so they appear on every page.
  • Add a business address or at least a city/region to reinforce the ANZ local presence.
  • Consider a named contact or team inbox for procurement enquiries specifically.
  • Ensure these details are in plain text (not only an image) so they are extractable by search and AI agents.

Serious

Trust & credibility

Reconcile the conflicting council counts

The Local Government page states two different customer numbers on the same page - "more than 130 councils" in the body and "more than 120 councils" in the FAQ. Procurement readers scrutinise claims like this, and an internal contradiction invites doubt about every other figure on the site.

More than 120 councils across Australia and New Zealand use Attekus

View the page

What to do

  • Confirm the correct current number of councils and use that single figure consistently.
  • Update both the body copy and the FAQ on the Local Government page to match.
  • Search the rest of the site for other instances of the count and align them too.
  • Set a simple internal rule for updating headline stats site-wide when the number changes.

Worth fixing

Conversion path

Reduce competing calls to action that all lead to the same dead end

The site uses several different CTA labels - "Talk to us", "Connect with our team", "Start your discovery today", "Book here" - that all resolve to the same /contact/ page. Varied wording for one destination adds cognitive load and, once that destination is fixed, a single consistent action will convert better.

Connect with our team

View the page

What to do

  • Standardise on one primary CTA label for the discovery conversation and use it consistently.
  • Keep one clear primary action per screen rather than multiple differently-worded buttons.
  • Once the Contact page works, measure which placement drives the most completed enquiries.

Worth fixing

Proof depth

Publish an indicative pricing range or self-serve scoping request

The pricing page explains the model well and offers an indicative range and scoping questionnaire, but only via a sales conversation - and that conversation currently can't be started. Comparison shoppers building a budget case need a way to get a ballpark without waiting on a call.

We provide a scoping questionnaire and an indicative range to help with budget approvals prior to formal tender.

View the page

What to do

  • Offer the scoping questionnaire as a self-serve form that returns an indicative range or triggers a fast follow-up.
  • Consider showing worked pricing examples by sector size to anchor expectations.
  • Link the questionnaire prominently from the pricing page and the industry pages.

Worth checking

Message clarity

Tighten the homepage so the primary takeaway leads

The homepage is strong but dense - seven products, multiple sub-messages and repeated logo walls can crowd the single most important idea. A clearer hierarchy would help first-time visitors grasp the core promise faster before exploring detail.

One connected experience for venue booking, events, ticketing, customer and payments

View the page

What to do

  • Lead with one crisp promise and one primary action above the fold.
  • Group the seven products under the "one connected experience" idea rather than listing them flat.
  • Show the logo wall once, not twice, on the homepage.

Keep doing

Machine readability

Keep publishing a populated llms.txt and server-rendered pages

Attekus is unusually well set up for AI answer engines: pages render fully without JavaScript, a labelled /llms.txt is already live, Organization structured data is present, and robots.txt allows all agents. As buyers increasingly ask AI tools for recommendations, this makes Attekus easy to describe accurately and cite - a genuine advantage worth protecting.

# attekus.com llms.txt

View the page

What to do

  • Keep the llms.txt current as pages and products change.
  • Preserve server-side rendering of key buyer facts as the site evolves.
  • Once contact details exist, add them to structured data so agents can surface them.

Keep doing

Proof depth

Keep the transparent, jargon-light pricing explanation

Publishing a clear pricing model - single annual SaaS fee, sector-based sizing, no per-booking commission, unlimited users - is rare among enterprise public-sector vendors and builds real trust with budget-conscious buyers before a sales call. It is a strong differentiator worth keeping front and centre.

No hidden costs or fees. No commission. Just transparent licensing that scales with your community

View the page

What to do

  • Keep the plain-language pricing explanation prominent as the offering grows.
  • Reinforce the "no per-booking commission" point on industry pages where it matters most.
  • Pair it with the indicative-range option so the transparency carries all the way to a number.

Methodology and limitations

How this review was done

This is a UX and content review of Attekus's public website from the perspective of four different visitors: a cold visitor, a buyer ready to act, a comparison shopper, and an AI agent. It combines a content and structure review of the key pages with a walk of the primary money path - the journey to book a Discovery Consultation - assessed against established Nielsen Norman usability heuristics and simple friction measures (clicks to goal, competing calls to action, and whether the site confirms actions), at both desktop and mobile widths. A separate score rates how readable the site is to AI answer engines and agents.

Pages reviewed: Home, Contact, Solutions & Pricing, and the Local Government industry page, plus the site's robots.txt and llms.txt. Every finding is tied to content actually observed on the page.

One honest caveat: this is a UX and content review, not a page-speed or accessibility audit. For load-performance measurement we recommend Google PageSpeed Insights.
